As a Registered Nurse, and both a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and an Assisted Living Facility Administrator, I had very high standards when it was time to find a facility for my mother. I wanted a place that not only provided superior care, but also attended to the psychosocial needs of the residents.
In my opinion Ivy Ridge excels in all areas. Care for a dementia resident can sometimes be difficult but the Ivy Ridge staff provides excellent care while considering the feelings and dignity of the resident. Utilizing individual care plans, the residents get all the care that they need without feeling put out. Ivy Ridge does an excellent job of monitoring medications and effect and uses the OPUS system of quality medications management.
Ivy Ridge pays high attention to the psychosocial health of the residents through specialized activity programs that includes lots of exercise, music, animals (pet therapy), and children involved in intergenerational programs. And last but not least, they make sure that Mom takes care of her beloved dog as well as they take care of Mom.
